Futrli at Xerocon London 2018
A two-day whirlwind of networking, exhibitor displays, and speakers. Our team is still buzzing from the excitement.
We loved every second of seeing our CEO and Founder Hannah Dawson be part of a live recording of the podcast Fintech Insider. We were grateful for some great coffee and drinks, and really palpable energy kept us motivated throughout.
Of course, this being Xerocon, there were a few surprises in store for us too. Our team and a whole host of attendees from around the country had a blast zip-lining across the ExCeL, zooming through the conference space. There was a welcoming break area with glowing swings (which provided great lighting for Instagram-worthy photos!) and the chance to catch up with industry leaders and business owner
At the end of the event, accountants of all levels came away inspired and with new zest to take into improving their firms and their clients’ businesses. We were able to spread the word about improving the future cash position through solid financial analysis with Futrli. We told interested accountants about Futrli's forecasting methods and the positive impact this has had one clients' cash inflows, granular financial forecasts and future prospects.
Now that we’re back to the real world, catching up with our inboxes and sending out a bottle of Brighton Gin to the winners of our competition, we’ve got the Xerocon blues.
Innovation was the theme of the event
On day one, Hannah spoke on the subject, ‘The best real, direct measure of innovation is changing in human behavior’. Encouraging her audience to think about the real-world problems that SMEs face, many were reminded about the struggle Xero themselves had when it came to changing an entire industry. She stated:
To truly innovate one must frame a problem that your audience does not even know that they have.
As a company, our mission is to create something that’s genuinely useful. That’s what Xero has done, and what we’re doing. We were overwhelmed by the response to Hannah’s session, as we ran out of headsets and had a huge audience peering in to get involved. There was genuine interest in Futrli's quantitative methods.
Futrli's success - Improving companies future financial position and financial health through forecasting
That’s why Futrli winning Xero’s Practice App of the Year 2018 is such a massive deal for us. We’re changing the game for accountants and the SMEs they work with and having this award helps us get in front of an even wider audience.
We’re thrilled about this level of recognition, as it has helped us, as a team, and the businesses we work with feel great about our achievements.
